Assist the Business & Community Education staff with general office processes while maintaining confidentiality of all student records.
Duties And Responsibilities
Daily contact with College personnel, faculty, students, and the general public in the routine performance of duties and departmental services.

Requirements
Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Students participating in the Federal Work Study Program are paid minimum wage and can work up to 20 hours per week. The student is not guaranteed a set number of hours per week.
In order to qualify for the Federal Work Study Program the student must
be enrolled half-time (or greater) at the College (half-time is 6cr for fall/spring and 3cr for summer),
be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program,
be in good academic standing; and
must have eligibility (financial need) as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Coordinates the College Risk Management Program in a capacity appropriate to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring conditions, events and circumstances present through daily College operations, and communicating observations to the appropriate supervisor or taking necessary actions to correct, prevent or limit safety problems. May serve as a member of a committee that supports the health, safety and/or legal rights of visitors, students and staff. Such committees may include the AA/EEO, Sexual Harassment, and Safety/Loss Control committees. (Risk Management Categories I, III, IV. See Tort file.)

FUNCTION OF THE JOB

Duties And Responsibilities
- Covering office during lunch hours
- General office duties including answering the telephone and taking accurate concise messages.
- Giving directions and taking people to other offices
- Cold call for information
- Knowing the schedule of the classes and getting information to the classrooms
- Assisting with putting the schedule together
- Assisting with putting Instructor packets together
- Contacting students and instructors about cancellations
- Picking up mail
- Delivering mail, paperwork, etc. to various departments
- Assisting with various events
- Other duties as reasonably assigned by Business & Community Education Office staff.
- Must display professionalism and confidentiality in all matters
- Must be able to communicate by telephone on a daily basis.
- Must be able to use computers.
- Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
- Must be able to provide and understand verbal/visual orders from supervisors.
