FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The marketing department is looking for a passionate, engaged, and creative individual to assist with general marketing and communication materials and events. Assist with the development of digital and print marketing, communication, and social media materials to meet College and Foundation goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist the College and Foundation with the creation and implementation of brand, marketing, and campaign materials and events. Perform background research, photography and videography, digital storytelling, and web and graphic design as needed. Perform proof-reading, fact-checking, and editing. Assist with social media design and strategy. Attend marketing meetings as requested. Other marketing related duties/projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
A combination of experience with graphic design, website design, video editing, social media, and/or digital storytelling required. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Great creativity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Training for this position will be provided. Must be available for up to 20 hours per week and able to attend a limited number of special events outside normal business hours. Adobe Suite experience is recommended, but not required.
Requirements
Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Students participating in the Federal Work Study Program are paid minimum wage and can work up to 20 hours per week. The student is not guaranteed a set number of hours per week. In order to qualify for the Federal Work Study Program the student must: ~ be enrolled half-time (or greater) at the College (half-time is 6cr for fall/spring and 3cr for summer),
be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program,
be in good academic standing; and
must have eligibility (financial need) as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
