What you will be doing
Manage customer orders and inventory systems
Answering phones and assisting with customer needs
Enter customer orders and rail car shipments in inventory
Ensure all rail cars Inbound and Outbound inspections are completed
Scaling trucks in and out for load weights
Prepare documentation for truck arrivals and departures (Bill of Lading, Truck Arrival Checklist, Truck Departure Checklist)
Preparing load schedule for next day’s loads
Enter heating charges in inventory systems
Provide Safety Briefing to new drivers, vendors, and visitors
Contact carriers to schedule pickup times for the next day’s loads
Follows company/customer policies and procedures (i.e., internal controls, record retention, verification, etc.)
Requirements of a successful Coordinator
Ability to follow directions (written and verbal)
Attention to detail, self-motivation, and good organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook
Anticipates customer needs
Excellent customer service skills
Identify problem areas with customers and work with the manager to develop a resolution
Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all time
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
