Job Description:
Summary -
Utilizing the outreach script, the Patient Outreach Specialist contacts patients to assist in finding a new health insurance plan. This is a short term contract assignment supporting a time sensitive project expected to last approximately four (4) weeks.
Responsibilities:
" Ensures patients are contacted timely regarding their insurance coverage and provides options for their insurance transition
" Documents that the patient was contacted and the outcome, identifying if a call back is needed
" Promptly responds to messages and redirects as needed
" Other duties as assigned
Experience / Requirements:
" Strongly preferred: experience working in Boston Medical Center EPIC (EMR)
" Requires strong communication skills and phone etiquette
" Experience with TriZetto preferred
" Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.
" Insurance knowledge or experience communicating with patients strongly preferred
" High school diploma or equivalent required
