Position Overview
Saylor seeks a Contract-to-Hire Asset Manager to manage all incoming and outgoing content and assets securely through our vault. They will oversee content security as well as maintaining our servers. We are so excited at the possibility of working with you!
Location and Salary
This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $85,000-$100,000 depending on experience. This person must be LA-based and available to come into the Saylor office in Echo Park as required to the responsibilities of the role. Please anticipate being in-office at least three days a week, as this role does require more in-office days than the rest of team due to the nature of the position. All editorial team members have a mandatory in-office day every Wednesday of the week.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ingest, storing and distribution of all content for Saylor.
- Content includes but is not limited to: client content libraries, features, episodics, BTS and EPK shoot footage, full production shoots, still photography, music, etc.
- Maintain organization and security of servers
- Manage space on both servers and Frame.io
- Archive projects and content from server and Frame.io during monthly audits and as needed
- Distribute and manage all hard drives and hard drive prep for shoots
- Create stringouts and screeners for scripting as needed
- Provide ongoing support and solutions for workflow optimization
- Make recommendations for server and security upgrades
- Improve efficiencies in data asset management
- Acts as primary liaison between post-production and IT department
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a vault manager, asset manager, or Lead AE
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and Media Encoder (After Effects is a plus, but not required)
- Proficiency in industry-standard ingest platforms such as Aspera, Box, Hightail, Reach Media Engine, Signiant Media Shuttle, Vida
- Ability to work independently while reporting into the Post Production Supervisor
- Ability to create proxies and transcode media to codec specs
- Knowledge of all digital file formats
- Familiarity with high-security IP workflows
- Familiarity with IT troubleshooting in Adobe Suite
- Experience with data I/O, assistant editing, LTO and archiving is a must
