Schafer Industries is currently seeking a 1st shift Logistic Coordinator for its Schafer Roscoe, Illinois location.

Completes and reviews required receiving forms to ensure all information is noted and documents are attached. 1. Essential Functions:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, vendors, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.).
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
- Collaborating with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
- Receiving shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
- Perform daily safety inspections on company transportation vehicles before each use. This includes forklifts.

- Maintain the 6S program in assigned area.
- Submit the required number of continuous improvement ideas.
- Channeling problems and/or complaints to appropriate person for resolution.
- Supporting all Schafer policies and procedures.
- Reporting to Supervisor when assignments cannot be completed.
- Providing input and assistance with the implementation of quality improvement.
- Performing other job-related duties as required.
- Training new personnel in the operations of Shipping & Receiving.

- Air conditioned/heated manufacturing facility with possible exposure to noise; dust; fumes; physical, chemical, and biohazards; solvents, oils, and detergents.
- This job is to be performed at the designated facility 100% of the time unless directed otherwise by manager/supervisor.
