Position Title: Banking Analyst

Summary:
The Banking Analyst will perform back-office data analysis, prepare presentations, and provide operational support for Banking Associates. This role ensures data-driven insights and well-prepared materials to aid client and bank interactions and facilitate decision-making. While the Banking Analyst will assist with client and bank meetings, primary responsibility for those relationships remains with the Banking Associates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to generate actionable insights for Banking Associates.
- Create high-quality presentations and reports for client-facing meetings.
- Collaborate with Banking Associates to support client calls by providing data and logistical support.
- Foster professional relationships with existing bank partners.
- Maintain and enhance databases and tools used for tracking client and deal-related information.
- Assist in ad hoc projects and analyses as directed by the Banking Associates Manager.
- Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and develop solutions to complex financial and client service challenges.
- Prepare organized credit requests for new loan submissions or loan renewals.
- Review and analyze life insurance illustrations.
- Manage a current book of business and ensure transactions are being serviced with accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex financial and client service challenges.
- Prepare paperwork and analyses for new originations, annual loan renewals, refinances, annual reviews, and other client service documents.
- Assist the insurance team in closing large complex financed transactions from start to finish.
- Provide timely professional responses to teammates, strategic advisors, and clients regarding both regular and varied loan-related inquiries.
- Follow best practices for firm procedures and ensure compliant record keeping.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (preferred), Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in banking or financial services is preferred but not required.
