Enhancement and Irrigation Production Manager

We are hiring an Enhancement and Irrigation Production Manager to lead our enhancement and irrigation divisions in Lawrence. Production Manager Responsibilities include:

• Oversee initial and ongoing training of enhancement crew supervisors, crew members, and irrigation technicians.
• Train enhancement crew supervisors on how to lead and develop crew members; ensure crew supervisors understand their responsibilities in leading crews.
• Monitor crew efficiency and quality of work; perform quality checks at residential and commercial properties.
• Communicate daily with crew supervisors on job progress, concerns, and customer feedback
• Create customer job schedules
• Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve complaints and concerns.
• Perform managerial duties such as approving expenses, payroll, leave requests, etc. promptly and correctly.
• Measure division, crew, and co-worker production using key company production and financial metrics; ensure production goals are met.
• Perform regular performance reviews of enhancement and irrigation divisions co-workers.
• Manage inventory of all plants, products, tools, and equipment; maintain plant health. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment, and work with supervisor to determine purchasing needs.
• Manage regulatory requirements including submitting permits and requesting locates for jobs as needed.

Position requirements include:

• Excellent daily attendance and punctual arrival
• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: 3-5 years of lawn or landscape experience; experience working with irrigation systems
• Certifications: Backflow certification (can be obtained after hire)
• Valid driver’s license without any major infractions within 3-5 years
• Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of landscape and/or hardscape installation, and irrigation systems
• Ability to use landscaping and irrigation tools and equipment, including small construction equipment
• Ability and desire to communicate and interact with customers on a daily basis
• Ability and desire to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to project a professional image appropriate to the work environment and job responsibilities.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 85 pounds
• Ability to regularly stand, kneel or stoop for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to do basic math calculations and measurements
• Ability to learn and become proficient in company software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to speak English required; ability to speak Spanish is a plus
