We are hiring Lawn Care Production Manager to join our team in Topeka. Production Manager Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the application of granular and liquid fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides per company protocol, as well as state, federal, and label regulations.
- Ensure Lawn Care division is adequately staffed and provide initial and ongoing training for lawn care technicians.
- Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve complaints and concerns.
- Work with technicians as needed to troubleshoot and solve customer turf issues.
- Manage inventory of all fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides used by the lawn care and landscape maintenance divisions.
- Maintain records of applications as required by state regulations.
- Perform managerial duties such as approving expenses, payroll, leave requests, etc. promptly and correctly.
- Measure division and technician production using key company production and financial metrics; ensure production goals are met.
- Work with technicians to ensure equipment is kept in proper working condition. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment, and work with supervisor to determine purchasing needs.
- Additional off-season duties as assigned by supervisor, including snow removal and management of snow events as needed.
Position Requirements include:
- Excellent daily attendance and punctual arrival
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 3-5 years of lawn care experience
- Certifications: Kansas Certified Applicator license
- Valid driver’s license without any major infractions within 3-5 year
- Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of turf grass, weeds, and diseases, as well as common practices and issues regarding Kansas lawns and landscaping.
- Ability and desire to communicate and interact with customers on a daily basis
- Ability and desire to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to project a professional image appropriate to the work environment and job responsibilities
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 85 pounds
- Ability to do basic math calculations and measurements and calculate product application rates
- Ability to learn and become proficient in company software
- Ability to speak English required; ability to speak Spanish is a plus
This offers full benefits and great growth opportunities, with a starting salary of $50,000-$60,000 per year, dependent on experience.
