Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Transitional Housing and HUD Supportive Service Projects, coordinate and supervise all project services and activities, including outreach, intake, housing, case management, training, data collection and reporting.
  • Ensure service integration with all SCAP services, optimize integration for creating efficient access by customers and implement Strategic Plan as directed.
  • Work closely with management to ensure compliance with all requirements, including fiscal, administrative and service requirements of contract and ensuring all SCAP policies and procedures are followed.
  • Convene and conduct regular, efficient and effective meetings for the projects.  Ensure alignment with SCAP goals and keep management informed of outcomes.
  • Supervise all project staff, ensuring compliance with SCAP policies and procedures, monitoring of work products, training initiatives and completion of performance appraisals.
  • Create and maintain strong, proactive relationships with partners and other service providers, ensuring SCAP’s goals are met.
  • Supervise Residential Coordinator at SCAP’s Transitional Housing Facility and manage after-hours processes and procedures for facility emergencies.

Qualifications


Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in human services, social work, public policy, or related field preferred, a bachelor’s degree with related experience is required.
  • A Minimum of two (2) years progressive management and supervisory experience. A minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated human services experience.
  • Experience working proactively and progressively with community groups, consumers, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrated computer expertise; consistently upgrading skills to remain up to date on the use of technology in the workplace.
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues related to individuals and families in poverty. Ability to build upon the strengths of those we serve with diverse racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic backgrounds, including high risk populations, to provide high-level services and lasting solutions to fit each individual’s and family’s needs.
  • A thorough understanding of the social issues, and public policy related to poverty, homelessness and at-risk groups.
  • Committed to team approach problem-solving.
