Schonbek, a premium lighting brand and a member of WAC Lighting in Plattsburgh, NY is looking for a Custom Business Specialist. The Custom Business Specialist is the voice of the Company for the Custom team to ensure a high level of service to custom quotes, inquiries, follow-up, and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare product cost quotes by effectively identifying required components and labor to achieve the desired balance of cost and profitability.
- Establishes rapport with the sales team and project customers.
- Coordinate the pre-sales support, including developing project proposals, engineering drawings, renderings, contract preparation, and pricing. This requires a high level of organization, relationships, partnering, and collaboration with appropriate partners.
- Review and analyze past project profitability by checking reports to verify costs on similar items that have already been produced.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization of daily procedures.
- Communicate with customers to resolve design, product delivery, costs, and engineering issues that arise during the pre and post-sales process.
- Responsible for organizing project-related customer visits to Plattsburgh and customer visits in the marketplace as it relates to working on major projects.
- Work closely with production staff, and distribution / plant personnel to ensure that quality orders are delivered on time.
- Coordinate with the credit department to establish new customers, lines, and letters of credit.
- Responsible for timely communication of issues to teams and management that could impact project timelines.
- Respond to custom opportunities (concerns or complaints), provide feedback, and respond in a timely manner.
- Duties include planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and projects, coordinating project activities, collaborating with project team members, developing measurable project goals and objectives, and monitoring progress toward achievement.
- Organize and prepare install or repair internal teams to customer locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The expected compensation for this position is $60,000 - $68,000 annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
