The School District of Beloit has an opening for two (2) Special Education Para Educators at McNeel Intermediate School. These positions are for 7 hours a day. This is a full time/permanent position based on 183 days per year. Candidates should have experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, demonstrate flexibility, patience, and be able to work as part of a team. Required qualifications: High School diploma or GED, an Associate’s degree, or forty eight (48) credits, or proof of successful completion of a WI DPI approved assessment (ACT WorkKeys, ParaPro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator Master Teacher). A high school diploma is necessary, but not sufficient. Candidate must hold or be willing to obtain the Wisconsin Para-educator license. Rate of pay is $15.00/hour. Start date is: ASAP. Shall be eligible for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide Certification #883 3. Ability to lift/move, 50 pounds where applicable 4. Possess basic information technology and media skills 5. Strong oral and written communicate skills 6. Present proof of physical fitness to assume all the duties of the job (standing, bending, kneeling, etc) 7. Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing and speaking)
