What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Workers position at School District of River Falls?
Approximately 40 hours per week, weather dependent. Potential to create flexible schedule(s) based on your availability. Positions begin as soon as necessary, typically mid-April, and end approximately mid-November. Must be able to tolerate exposure to hot, humid or cold conditions, loud noises, sharp tools, and inclement weather conditions.
Mowing, weed whipping, general landscaping, basic hand & power tools, basic equipment maintenance & safety checks, proper use of personal protective equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Ability to problem solve and stay on task. * Ability to follow written and oral instructions. * Ability to interact in a courteous, friendly, respectful, honest and professional manner with the public and staff at all levels. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment without direct supervision. * Ability to safely pull and back up trailers.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds, bend, kneel, climb, walk for extended periods of time, ride powered equipment for extended periods of time. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license.
