The Information Technology Intern provides day-to-day support for end user requests related to software, hardware, and peripherals and ensures timely resolution.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in fielding support calls, chats, emails, or other communications from users
- Applies basic knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
- Coordinates services for software and hardware configuration, repair, or replacement
- Assists IT managed service provider with the purchase, installation, and set up of new hardware, software, and peripherals
- Assists in training users and maintaining business systems knowledge bases
- Upholds and maintains IT policies and procedures knowledge base
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Basic understanding of information systems, mobile devices, and other technical products is desired
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Applications required; familiarity with Apple hardware and software technology preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills required to be successful working in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities
- Works in a temperature-controlled environment, with low noise levels
- Prolonged periods of sitting required
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, lift, pull, or push objects weighing up to 15 pounds
