As a key part of the development team, the Annual Giving Manager is responsible for administrative, organization, and creative tasks in support of fundraising initiatives for the museum. The Annual Giving Manager will lead and grow our individual giving with a strategic focus on Annual Fund gifts. You will be responsible for soliciting Annual Fund and mid-level gifts, bequest commitments, and deepening donor engagement.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development and working closely with staff across our museum, the Board of Directors, and external partners, the Annual Giving Manager will build an elevated stewardship plan designed to engage donors at the $250 level and above through our Launch Society and future donor recognition circles. You will also oversee a calendar of donor-specific communications with a goal to demonstrate impact, improve financial storytelling, and support a culture of philanthropy within our internal and external communities. This role requires an understanding of “moves management” and will be charged with developing a donor stewardship plan. It will also require an ability to inspire donors at all levels, through excellent written and verbal communication to articulate the organization's mission and funding priorities effectively.
This core member of our fundraising team will strengthen our culture of giving to help accelerate our fundraising and individual donor engagement programs, and secure philanthropic support to advance our mission and vision for a future where all people can confidently enjoy Science Museum Oklahoma.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities :
- Lead and grow our individual giving with a strategic focus on Annual Fund gifts. You will be responsible for soliciting Annual Fund and mid-level gifts and deepening donor engagement.
- Work closely with VP of Development to build an elevated stewardship plan designed to engage donors at the $250 level and above through our Launch Society and future donor recognition circles.
- Meet or exceed our average 50% donor retention metric for donors at the $100 level.
- Oversee the annual Synergy Impact report and Annual Fund ask.
- Execute annual Giving Day and other fundraising efforts utilizing direct mail, email and other giving tactics
- Direct the production of all Annual Fund materials (in coordination with marketing and communication staff) for print, digital and social medial channels
- Help plan and execute cultivation and stewardship events for donors.
- Produce internal and external progress reports that evaluate the overall success of the Annual Fund.
- Assist with the planning and execution of the Elemental Ball, the annual fundraising event.
- Development tasks as assigned

Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 2 years experience in Development or a related field

This position works in a climate-controlled office setting and may be subjected to a fast paced decision making environment.

This position may require the employee to drive for business purposes in either their own vehicle or a vehicle provided by the Museum. Employees that drive for business purposes must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check and provide proof of insurance and a valid license to drive on an annual basis.

Salary : $100 - $250
