Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130k - $170k. Factors such as academic credentials and relevant experience will influence the actual salary offered.

In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.

Job Summary

The Software Engineer II is a seasoned professional tasked with leading the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated Salesforce solutions. This role demands advanced technical skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and effective coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design:
  • Assess business requirements and propose optimal solutions tailored to the Salesforce platform.
  • Design and develop customized solutions that align with and address specific business needs.
  • Advanced Development:
  • Develop complex Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce pages.
  • Implement advanced Salesforce features like custom APIs, batch processes, and asynchronous Apex.
  • Optimize code and processes for performance and scalability.
  • Integration and Data Management:
  • Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools like Mulesoft, Informatica or similar tools.
  • Oversee data migration, data cleansing, and data governance initiatives.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with other developers and administrators to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and enforce best practices for unit testing, integration testing, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions through rigorous testing.
  • Maintenance and Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize Salesforce performance, including debugging and resolving production issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Documentation and Training:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user guides.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and junior developers.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, updates, and industry trends.
  • Advocate for and implement Salesforce best practices, including security, governance, and scalability.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn and grasp new systems or tools as needed.
  • Open to acquiring knowledge and expertise in additional systems or tools.
  • Willing to expand skills by understanding and working with other systems or tools.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is required.
  • Additional certifications like Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect are highly desirable.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Proven experience leading Salesforce projects and teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration, and ETL tools.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce development tools (Salesforce DX, VS Code, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and data governance.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Intelligence, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira.
