Location

This position is considered office-first. An office-first employee can flex between in-office work and working from home based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. An office-first employee maintains an office presence at least three days per week at their designated Scooter’s Coffee office location. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.


Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Social Media Specialist to join our team. The Senior Social Media Specialist will help collaborate with the Social Media Manager to refine and execute the social media strategy to build and grow our brand on organic social for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. This encompasses helping plan, develop, and execute a content and community engagement strategy with a focus on short form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels to create brand awareness, engage key target markets and grow social followers.


Other areas of focus include identifying relevant nano and micro to potential macro influencers on social media, developing plans to engage and market to them in support of campaign, local or brand marketing initiatives. Partner with the Social Media Manager on the development of social giveaways that align with the social strategy to grow and engage our audience.


Key outcomes for this role are delivering annual and long-term brand KPI’s of AUV growth, comparable sales, traffic and EBIDTA. The role requires strong project management and planning, solid creative and video skills, knowledge of the social media and influencer space, passion for TikTok and social media, an ability to create content that connects with customers and analysis of current and emerging trends.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Creative Services team to create organic social marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, and engagement
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement on TikTok and Reels.
  • Create compelling and visually appealing content for TikTok and Reels that aligns with the brand's tone, voice, and messaging.
  • Edit and optimize videos using relevant editing tools and techniques to ensure high-quality and engaging content.
  • Manage the entire content creation process, including brainstorming, scripting, filming, and post-production.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, features, and best practices on TikTok and Reels to ensure the brand's content remains relevant and engaging.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of content and campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media strategies with overall marketing objectives and brand initiatives.
  • Identify and establish relationships with relevant influencers on TikTok and Reels, negotiate contracts, and manage influencer partnerships.
  • Develop and execute influencer marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, reach, and engagement.
  • Monitor influencer content to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and values.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and engaging community on social media platforms.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, social media updates, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities for the brand
  • Manage the social community by engaging with our amazing customers by responding to comments, messages and posts with speed, charm and a smiley touch
  • Lead and execute our social contests, giveaways, and fun campaigns that get people talking and excited


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience within Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience as a TikTok user in a corporate setting ideal
  • Passionate about social media, digital marketing, and emerging media
  • Familiarity filming and editing social video content specific to TikTok, and curating social media content
  • Knowledge of social media channels and trends: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube and others
  • Ability to identify and work with influencer personas outside of social media influencers, such as brand evangelists, credible experts, brand ambassadors
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and social media tracking tools
  • Ability to build data-driven reports and present a concise analysis with recommended optimizations in both polished verbal and written/visual formats
  • Ability to pivot and de-risk any foresee / plan for challenges along the way
  • Elevated taste level and awareness of brand aesthetics and standards
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills; keen attention to detail
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment
  • Flexible and positive attitude; able to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel 10 to 15% of the time
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
