Job Overview:
As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for open positions within the organization. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and ensure that the recruitment process runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational policies. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of job markets, and the ability to evaluate candidates effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Candidates:
- Use a variety of methods to find qualified candidates, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and recruiting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, really).
- Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates for future job openings.
- Post job openings on job boards, company website, and other relevant platforms.
- Screening and Interviewing:
- Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and evaluate candidate qualifications.
- Schedule and conduct interviews, both over the phone and in-person, ensuring candidates are a good fit for the role and company culture.
- Assess candidates’ skills, experience, and qualifications through structured interviews and relevant tests or assessments.
- Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their department's specific staffing needs and job requirements.
- Provide hiring managers with shortlists of qualified candidates and recommend the best fits for the positions.
- Guide hiring managers through the interview and selection process.
- Managing the Recruitment Process:
- Ensure that the recruitment process follows company policies and best practices, maintaining a high level of candidate experience.
- Facilitate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment screenings.
- Provide timely feedback to candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Offer and Negotiation:
- Extend job offers to selected candidates, ensuring the terms of employment are clear.
- Negotiate salary, benefits, and other employment terms, as necessary, in collaboration with HR and hiring managers.
- Onboarding:
- Coordinate with the HR team to facilitate the smooth onboarding of new hires, including preparing offer letters, contracts, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensure that new hires are introduced to the company and set up for success in their new roles.
- Maintaining Recruitment Records:
- Maintain accurate records of candidate applications, interview notes, and hiring decisions in compliance with company policies and data privacy regulations.
- Track the success of recruitment campaigns and provide reports on key metrics such as time-to-hire, source of hire, and candidate quality.
- Employer Branding:
- Help promote the company’s brand by representing the organization at job fairs, networking events, and through online engagement.
- Assist in developing content for the company’s career page and social media channels.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in a corporate or agency setting.
- Experience in sourcing candidates through various channels (job boards, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with candidates at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Ability to assess candidate qualifications and fit for the role and company culture.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with niche recruitment (e.g., medical recruitment, technology recruitment).
- Certification in recruitment or human resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or AIRs Certified Recruiter).
