Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing accounting department. This person will work with all of our divisions at SD Ireland. As this is a new position, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping its development.
Duties
- Process AP invoices including proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense accounts.
- Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting Degree preferred.
