Job Description: Electrical Superintendent
is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead our growing Electrical Construction Division. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project completion and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of skilled electricians, including foremen and apprentices.
- Oversee all aspects of electrical construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and safety.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Pre-construction & Estimating:
- Develop and review project estimates, proposals, and bid packages.
- Conduct site visits and perform pre-construction planning.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Project Execution:
- Oversee all field operations, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations (including NFPA 70E), and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and project teams.
- Business Development:
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master Electrician License (or equivalent in your jurisdiction) is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction and maintenance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing and supervising electrical crews.
- Proven experience with a wide range of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and low-voltage systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations, including NFPA 70E.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license
with a clean driving record.
