About The Role:
The Senior Manager, Marketing will be responsible for tactical planning, execution and reporting of all guest-facing communications across the Seaport and the owned businesses within it. This role’s key objective is to drive top-line revenue for our businesses through a mix of always-on and initiative-specific messaging.
Responsible for campaign execution across web, email, social and paid channels encompassing the full portfolio of SEG’s owned businesses at the Seaport in New York City. Additionally, this role oversees the tracking & reporting of marketing campaigns and oversees external agencies charged with driving low-funnel consumer actions. This role manages the Manager, Communications and Manager, Social Media guiding and supporting them as they execute initiatives for all business channels.
This role requires strong leadership, communication, problem solving, prioritization and collaboration skills, working across multiple unique disciplines including creative, social media, external agencies & partners, sponsorships, legal and IT. It requires an in-depth knowledge of best practices, new technologies and analytics/reporting to show revenue driven through marketing initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Constructing and executing on tactical plans to drive awareness, traffic and revenue to all owned businesses at the Seaport.
- Seamless execution of guest communication strategies across multiple channels including email, web, social and paid media
- Manage external agencies, ensuring they are aligned with strategic priorities and executing against them within agreed upon KPIs
- Establishing and documenting best practices and tools known to drive revenue and reach our goals.
- Leadership and collaboration skills, rallying teammates and partners behind established strategies and driving execution of those strategies
- Prioritizing work across the team to optimize towards projects with highest revenue potential.
- Ensure data compliance across channels, working with legal and IT.
- Identify and coordinate any internal/external resources required to execute established strategies, building a financial case for those resources.
- Leading and developing a team of marketing professionals.
- Responsible for department Quarterly Marketing Calendar and execution of ‘always on’ initiatives launching campaigns to drive consumer action.
- Build/reconcile and manage spend against Business Unit marketing budgets
About You:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing & communications
- Experience leading a team and cross functional collaboration preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to build tactical plans that execute against business objectives
- Proactive and flexible to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of tools & platforms needed for execution of communication across channels (CRM, web platforms, etc.)
- Experience with Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Wordpress and SevenRooms is ideal
- Expert in prioritization and agile working methodologies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly.
- Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Compensation range: 110k -130k per year
