Business Analyst

SUMMARY:

A company based in Houston (Galleria) is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong SQL and reporting skills to join their team. The role involves utilizing technology and software solutions to provide valuable reporting on key KPIs, helping decision-makers and operators drive better outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and secondlevel technical support to end-users experiencing issues with applications and systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software problems, including investigating root causes and implementing longterm solutions or interim workarounds.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to business users on application functionality and usage.
• Define and document detailed requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for application development and enhancement projects.
• Create comprehensive site/flow map of projects
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions accordingly
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, addressing concerns and inquiries.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications and reports to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance
• Test data flows between systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data integrations and data architecture schemas, implementing solutions to address inconsistencies or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with external software vendors and developer resources to design, implement, and maintain functional business product solutions.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Intermediate Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong writing and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to nontechnical users.
• Selfstarter with excellent work ethic & team-player qualities a must
• Experience with Python a plus

• This role is 4 days in office and will require travel up to 50% during the first 3 to 6 months. Travel will taper once you have a solid understanding of the organizational needs across locations.
