Join an innovative and rapidly growing SaaS Software as a Service Company with headquarters in Suwanee, GA. This role in the Accounting Department is new to due to growth and will focus on the A/R side of the business w/ crossover duties assisting the Controller. This role is mostly remote requiring up to 1 day per week in the office.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support key financial functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across our accounting operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Accounts Receivable: Generate invoices, manage receivables, apply payments, and process approved credit and debit memos.
✅ General Accounting: Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
✅ Tax & Compliance: Support business licensing, registrations, sales tax filings, and compliance initiatives.
✅ Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and workflows.
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to resolve accounting-related issues and streamline financial operations.
✅ Treasury Management: Assist in daily cash application and payments processing.
✅ Reporting: Prepare financial reports and provide insights to management as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Associate’s degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; Bachelor’s preferred
📊 Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience (or equivalent education & experience)
📦 Prior experience with managing Days Outstanding on commercial accounts preferred
Skills & Competencies
💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and financial databases
🔍 Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
