Job Description:
Greets residents, residents’ families and general public in a gracious and
welcoming manner. Interfaces with all departments to facilitate communication
and quality of care.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include the following:
v High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification, if applicable.
At least one year of experience in long-term care.

Consistently maintains a kind, caring and respectful attitude towards residents, residents’ families, and guests.
Sensitive to the special needs of the seniors and demonstrates a genuine, caring attitude.
Greeting new residents and/or families upon admission
Greeting new guests or residents and acquainting them with the facility’s amenities
Following the resident throughout their stay to ensure quality of care and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary
team
Anticipating residents needs and solving their problems
Ensuring rooms and common areas meet guest standards
Completes and follows up on grievances timely
Answers telephone in a courteous and confident manner. Always maintains an assertively friendly positive attitude.
Notifies appropriate staff when there is a person or persons waiting in the lobby to meet with members of the staff.
Notifies the dietary department when the beverage and snack supply needs replenishing.
Informs nursing when a resident in the lobby area requires attention.
Respects residents’ confidentiality at all times.
