JOB SUMMARY:
The Accountant is responsible for recording all financial activities of the organization, including budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant and donor reporting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate coordinates, implements and oversees the organization's financial, purchasing, and property control policies. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast organizational business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Compiles financial information and prepares entries to document business transactions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, month end transactions, grant administration and asset management.

Works closely with department heads to monitor financial results, ensure adherence to budget and recommend budget adjustments to E.D. accordingly.

Establishes, reviews, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting control procedures to ensure regulatory compliance regarding financial, purchasing, property control, etc., operations. Responsible for ensuring the recording of financial activities are in adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Manage relationships and monitor performance of vendors and service providers to meet organizational objectives.

Manage various types of contracts and agreements. Maintain contract files and business filings.

Ensures timely reporting as required by regulatory agencies.

Works with outside auditors to complete annual financial audit and file tax forms.

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned or at the request of the E.D..

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field.

Minimum two years of general ledger accounting experience.

Mastery of QuickBooks accounting software, online version preferred.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
