What you will do:
The Senior Organizational Learning Specialist with a focus on leadership will facilitate and provide technical and administrative support for the HRD and Organizational Learning team. This role involves organizing and delivering training sessions focused on leadership skills, competency development, and enterprise-based programs for SECU. A strong background in leadership training, coaching, and program development is essential for this position.
The Senior Organizational Learning Specialist with a focus on leadership plays a crucial role in developing SECU's leadership capabilities through training and support initiatives.
The Senior Organizational Learning Specialist adheres to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position, including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations, such as OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act, Fair Lending and Information Security.
A day in your life might include:
- Conduct and support leadership training programs for both new and experienced leaders. Implement changes to enhance the learning experience and provide personalized training sessions as needed.
- Lead training sessions for onboarding, including orientation and courses aligned with core values.
- Support technical training initiatives for new and current employees, making recommendations for improving the overall learning experience.
- Collaborate with HRD/Organizational Learning team members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver new training programs. Provide input on training solutions for new projects and services.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
- Evaluate the effectiveness and success of training by using qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral based metrics.
- Maintain all training materials to ensure information is relevant, accurate, and current.
What we need from you:
Core Competencies:
- Expertise in creating engaging and effective learning experiences, applying instructional models and design.
- Familiarity with learning management systems
- Must have the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel production, be detail oriented and able to manage fluctuating priorities
- Support leadership development and employee development to foster a culture of continuous learning
- Identify gaps and align training programs with business objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Strong understanding of credit union or financial services operations is required.
- Strong knowledge of business banking with exposure to wealth management programs.
- Excellent presentation skills

- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and banking products as required

Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field
Experience Requirements
- Five plus years of experience in facilitation of training and instructional design. Experience in facilitating and/or designing technical training preferred and 3 years of experience with financial services training required.
- Experience developing content suited for multiple delivery channels (instructor-led classes, online virtual classes, computer-based training [CBT] and self-paced training material)
- Experience creating process documents to be used in the flow of work (job aids, etc.)
- Experience using Articulate Rise preferred but not required
- Experience with core software OSI/FISERV preferred by not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Physical Requirements -
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Compensation Information: Offers will be commensurate with experience and education. Please Note: We typically hire at or below mid-point, which is $115,100 for this role.
