Description
Job Title: Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO)
Location: City of Chicago
Principal Job Duties:
- Patrol Assigned Areas: Enforce parking regulations and restrictions on foot, in vehicles, or on bicycles.
- Team and Independent Work: Operate independently or with a team member, reporting to a field supervisor.
- Issue Citations: Generate written and/or computer-based parking citations, and transfer citation data to a centralized system.
- Customer Complaints: Resolve customer complaints in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Special Event Support: Provide enforcement support for events involving the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and other city events as requested.
- Outdoor Work: Work outdoors for entire shifts (6-8 hours) in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
Schedule:
- Flexible Hours: Must be open to full-time positions based on business needs.
- Varied Shifts: The working schedule includes weekday, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Current Open Position Schedule:
- 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM
- 5:45 PM - 2:15 AM
Benefits:
- Union Job: Includes free medical coverage.
- Medical Stipend: Medical coverage can be waived, and the employee will receive a stipend of $250.00 monthly.
- Leave Accrual: Vacation and sick days accrue after 6 months of employment.
