Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Field Engineer to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure across nearby client locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure proper functionality of all IT systems, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support users with software installations, updates, and general inquiries.
- Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex technical issues.
- Perform system imaging, data backups, and restoration tasks.
- Document and track all service requests and incidents in the ticketing system.
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner and ensure resolution of issues to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Provide user training on basic IT procedures and troubleshooting.
- Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance and upgrades as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on IT hardware.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with Windows OS, macOS, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with hardware diagnostics and repair.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the local area.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and support.
- Prior experience with IT support in an enterprise environment is a plus.
