Job Title: Law Services Sr Analyst
Join the Securian Financial Law Department's Affinity Solutions legal team, supporting the legal needs of Securian Financial and its Affinity Solutions division. This dynamic and growing team collaborates with credit unions, banks, and finance companies to provide regulatory services and compliant documents for lending and depository needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product line attorneys to provide compliant services and solutions for our clients' lending, deposit program, and documentation needs.
- Provide subject matter support in federal and state consumer financial protection laws and regulations, such as the Truth in Lending Act, Truth in Savings Act, Uniform Commercial Code, and related laws.
- Distill complex legal information into easy-to-understand guidance for our business unit and external clients.
- Support strategic business growth solutions to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Research and analyze legal issues related to insurance matters and provide ongoing support to our product line attorneys and to our business units.
- Draft and revise contracts, addendums, and other forms to align with the goals and needs of the business unit and external clients.
Qualifications:
- Ability to research a wide variety of insurance law topics and jurisdictional differences.
- Desire and ability to become subject matter expert on relevant topics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and disciplined in working independently with minimal supervision.
- Versatility, maturity, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization and planning skills necessary to adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional capacity for critical thinking and creative problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in previous law firm or corporate law department.
- Paralegal Certification.
- Experience in Estate & Trust law, and/or Life Insurance.
