he Network & Systems Analyst is a specialized professional position. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunication activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and implementing bank-wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology.
Specific Job Functions:
- Strategic Objectives:
- Strive to meet bank strategic and technology goals as determined annually
- Recommend practices that improve use of technology throughout the organization
- Provide input for annual technology plan and initiatives
- Compliance:
- Responsible for knowing and complying with all Federal Regulations and Bank policies/procedures applying to your department, including the Bank Secrecy Act and CIP.
- Maintain systems compliance with bank security policies and procedures
- Network and System Analyst Responsibilities:
- Possess strong background in the Windows OS and Windows Server OS and other Microsoft applications.
- Advanced knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
- Keeps current with the latest technologies to recommend technology solutions to meet business and system requirements. Makes recommendations regarding hardware & software needs for future.
- Responsible for monitoring and oversight of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports from network vendors to ensure the adequate operation and network capacity.
- Provide technical assistance, support, and troubleshooting in the resolution of system communication failures and conflicts.
- Provides expertise and support during system upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
- Provides troubleshooting support for escalated software and hardware problems. Coordinates vendor assistance when required.
- Performs daily operations of managing servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment, and includes but not limited to: networking components such as switches, routers, and transport media (wire, fiber optic cable, and/or wireless), as well as configuration of management software tools. This includes the routine and non-routine maintenance of computer and/or server hardware.
- Installs and maintains desktop computer hardware, including: computers, monitors, printers, scanners, internal cards, and other computer related equipment.
- Updating, as needed, all computers and servers that are housed on Security Federal Savings Bank network. This includes the design, development, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems and/or programs used or hosted by Security Federal Savings Bank in relation to the functionality of the bank.
- Ability to provide advanced technical assistance and comprehensive problem resolution to end users.
- Responds to system alerts and problem calls during and/or outside business hours. Travels to branch locations as needed.
- Responsible for coordinating and testing disaster recovery functions of bank’s business continuity program.
- Works with other IT employees to create, edit, and/or delete profiles for employees within Security Federal Savings Banks network and programs that IT is responsible for administrating.
- Performs routine and non-routine maintenance of computer and/or server hardware.
- Works with other IT employees to complete the “Processing Schedule”. The processing schedule outlines tasks to be completed on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
- Collaborates with other employees in problem recognition, research, resolution, and follow-up regarding all Jack Henry products and department needs.
- Back-up all the duties of other IT personnel as needed based on department coverage.
- Assists on projects being implemented as needed within or outside of the department.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Above average computer skills
- Microsoft 365 Administration, Fortinet, Windows OS & Windows Server OS, Microsoft Office Products Experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Microsoft SQL and SQL Lite Preferred
- Exceptional knowledge and experience analyzing hardware, software, and server needs to provide appropriate solutions.
- The willingness to learn proprietary systems used within the bank.
- Banking experience preferred but not required
- Good organizational and communication skills
