Position Summary:
Manage and oversee multiple small projects at Security First Managers. Responsible for planning, executing, and meeting project objectives, deadlines, and standards. Delegate tasks to project team members, management, external vendors, and cross-departmental employees. Work is performed under general supervision, with some decision-making autonomy.
Work schedule is hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project charters, define objectives, scope, and staffing needs.
- Create and share project schedules with stakeholders.
- Allocate resources based on team strengths and experience.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, quality, and deliverables.
- Lead status meetings and provide progress reports.
- Resolve conflicts and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Monitor and report risks, following compliance policies and procedures.
- Understand and apply various software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Maintain project documentation and updates.
- Participate in PMO meetings, handle emergency call-ins, and travel as needed.
- Ensure customer service excellence and confidentiality.
- Foster positive communication with all internal and external parties.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with software projects and vendor coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience managing projects
- OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
Certifications and Licenses:
- May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver’s license
- Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- One (1) year of systems work experience as a business analyst/equivalent role
- Two (2) years of experience managing IT/business projects
- Two (2) years of experience in property & casualty (P&C) insurance
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
