The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance of
all equipment in the production facility, in a timely manner as well as training Operators on how to run the machines properly.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Roberts WI
Pay: $28 - $35/hour based on experience
Shift: 2nd (2:45pm - 1:15am)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work around equipment and others in a safe manner.
• Accurately and professionally diagnose, repair, and maintain all equipment in the
production facility.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and repair the machinery in a timely
manner.
• Perform planned maintenance and unscheduled downtime work.
• Provide advice and training to new personnel or equipment operators.
• Make design improvements and process changes to improve overall production.
• Operate power and manual hand tools safely and effectively.
• Demonstrate care and responsibility for company supplied tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Perform set-up, adjustment, and timing of production equipment.
• Effectively overhaul and rebuild equipment and components.
• Lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs while using proper lifting
procedures.
• Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical operation, listening for
abnormalities, and using precise measuring and testing instruments.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting, using rules,
calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
• Identifies parts requirements and accurate part numbers for maintenance/repair work and
engages to assure parts are ordered in needed timeframe.
• Contacts equipment OEM technical service as needed to help facilitate timely
corrections/repairs. Treats breakdowns as urgent.
• Safely use all equipment, operate scissor/boom lift, operate forklift and industrial machinery
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other duties as needed or assigned.
• Follow all GMP and safety procedures.
• Understand HACCP Plan
• Monitoring preventive measures.
• Personnel Hygiene
• Sampling and test methods
• Ensure product meets quality and customer standards.
• Ensures working area is clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Demonstrate excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on approach to
problem solving.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• PLC knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of Hot Melt glue systems a plus
