SEI Technologies has an couple of exciting opportunity for a CNC Setup Machinist to join our team in our Hickory, NC location.
The candidate should:
- Select and install tooling according to specifications and operation.
- Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc. to set-up and prepare machine for operation.
- Use precision measuring instruments to setup machine and check machined items.
- Make programming or tooling adjustments.
- Load work program.
- Load and unload parts in machine
- Run jobs and obtain first piece approval.
- Have experience machining tight tolerance, high-value components.
- Have extensive experience with Okuma, Fanuc, and other CNC controls.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers.
- Be willing and able to perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management including but not limited to assisting non-production plant and administrative tasks.
- Experience with nickel-based stainless-steel alloys, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, Hast-X and inconel.
- Experience in Aerospace and Defense products and materials.
- Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
- Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
