As the Accounting/Business Manager you will report to the General Manager and Board Treasurer and play a critical role in managing all accounting and financial operations ensuring the organization’s financial stability.
Key Responsibilities include the following:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting function and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure smooth financial operations and support overall organization success.
- Manage A/P, A/R, payroll, and G/L activities.
- Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets, financial statements, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the management team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Develop and execute plans to optimize the organization’s profitability and long-term success.
- Coordinate duties related to HR administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, experience in a managerial or leadership capacity a plus.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial processes, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
