As a Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing catastrophe risk for their clients, who consist of specialty lines insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth catastrophe risk assessments and analyses using advanced modeling techniques.
- Develop and maintain catastrophe risk models to support underwriting and risk management decisions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique risk profiles and provide tailored risk management solutions.
- Communicate complex risk analysis results to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Monitor and analyze emerging catastrophe risk trends and provide insights to clients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in catastrophe risk analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in catastrophe modeling software (e.g., RMS, AIR, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a specialty lines insurance carrier is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Engineering, etc.) is preferred.
