Job Summary
Responsibility to plan, direct and modify the Inpatient nursing services (Outpatient Infusion Services, ICU, MS, Swingbed, Telemetry, Patient Experience Team) and manage the affairs of the department. Ensures that quality and efficiency are primary objectives within the inpatient nursing services and develops and shares metric information. Develops and administers budgets for inpatient nursing departments. Responsible for ensuring staff are competent by maintaining education paths including, on site, computer based and outside training paths.
Minimum Education Requirement
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement
Minimum two (2) years' experience as a registered nurse with one (1) year experience in acute care and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a hospital setting. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including spreadsheet analysis, presentation graphics and word processing. Highly developed oral, written and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individual and groups, at all levels of the organization, patients, families and external individuals, groups and agencies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make appropriate decisions to assure completion of tasks on time. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Appropriate professional demeanor to represent AAMC to internal and external constituents. Ability to work under stress. Ability to solve problems of a complex nature. Ability to multitask.
Minimum License Requirement
Current license as a Registered Nurse in good standing in the State of South Carolina. Various forms, records, computer software and programs and any equipment applicable to providing patient home care.
