Job Summary
We’re looking for a Tech to join the Tank team! The primary responsibility is to process machines. As well as maintain, repair, and improve injection and extrusion blow mold machines and support equipment for the production machinery to operate dependably. Support equipment examples included compressed air systems, chilled water systems, vacuum systems (pumps, loaders, blenders), grinders, conveyors, and robots.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete set-up check sheet after machine is released to production. Identify job and accurately record setup into the press.
- Review plant for any safety issues and report to Safety Director. If it’s an unsafe piece of equipment a write-up needs to be done in IQMS.
- Check the materials being mixed to ensure they are correct according to BOM.
- Check for quality production by the operators, on an hourly basis throughout the shift.
- Check the machines for standard cycle times and number of operators no less than six times per shift.
- When starting a new job assure you the job is running as best as possible while producing quality parts. Then inform the QC Department that the parts are ready to be checked for first piece approval. Once QC has released parts for production, see that first piece is signed off along with process target being filled out.
- Create a tool write-up if repairs or PM are needed in IQMS.
- Ability to act as the focal point for daily work-related questions from operators, material handlers, and inspectors.
- Ability to follow instructions from the direct report, plan work, and manage time appropriately.
- Fill out the shift log books daily.
- Monitor shift assistant supervisors to ensure they are following procedures and instructions from shift Supervisor.
- Check WIP sheet and OEE report to insure continues improvement daily.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Required experience (required or preferred): 2 Years (required)
- Education: High school diploma and a minimum of two years actual verifiable work experience in the field of manufacturing mechanical and electrical maintenance experience (required) OR a technical associate degree in the field of mechanical technology, general mechanics, electrical technology plastics, molding technology, or equivalent, from an approved technical school, college, or university (preferred).
