Position: HR Generalist
Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid - In-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Pay: $60,000 to $75,000/year (depending on experience)
Experience: 3 to 5 years of HR experience, preferably employee interaction and support.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Job Description:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, addressing inquiries about company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, coordinating interviews, screening candidates, and assisting with onboarding.
- Work closely with finance to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate and support training & development programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Administer employee benefits programs, assist with employee inquiries, and manage leave requests.
- Support HR leadership with employee relations, performance issues, and compliance matters.
- Assist in performance management, including goal setting, quarterly check-ins, and annual reviews.
- Contribute to HR policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records while upholding confidentiality and company policies.
- Participate in HR initiatives and projects, including inclusion programs, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement efforts.
- Champion SRC’s "smart and healthy" culture by promoting workplace values and best practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor).
- HR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Experience in non-profit or consortium environments is preferred.
- Background in the semiconductor or technology industry is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and inspire others.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal communication, and confidence in presenting to groups.
