What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Confidential - HR position at Seneca Valley School District?

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for permanent, 12-month administrative assistant position. Salary commensurate with educational degree level, skill and experience.

  • Works 244 Days with allotment of sick, personal and vacation days

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is located at the District Administration Offices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains District and employee confidential information, including but not limited to: Professional and classified seniority lists; record of yearly salary, tenure and certification for professional personnel; internal transfers; and all employee personnel files.
  • Administers records and approvals for leaves of absence, including medical and FMLA.
  • Sends, receives, checks for completeness, and files all District new hire paperwork.
  • Prepares certification files and data for state r eporting.
  • Sends all postings for professional, classified, and supplemental positions.
  • Prepares personnel logs and School Board letters for monthly School Board meetings.
  • Records and updates job descriptions.
  • Maintains and updates department budget; administers purchase orders and invoices.
  • Responsible for maintaining department inventory and distribution of supplies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology skills - Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
