Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, fostering a supportive environment, and maintaining the dignity of those you assist.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
• Assist with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
• Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with autism or requiring hospice care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.

Skills

• Experience in hospice care or home health settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of patient care practices and caregiving techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks.
• Proficiency in medication administration protocols.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for effective communication with individuals on the spectrum.
• Excellent observation skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
• Compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in home community care environments.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
