Summary:
Senti Bio is seeking a talented and strong Accounting Manager/Senior Accounting Manager to join the team. The qualified candidate will scale with our growth. This hybrid position will be based in South San Francisco and will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to analyze transactions with high accuracy, have excellent communication skills, be capable of multitasking and taking the initiative to drive process change and improvements.
\n- Assist in developing strong internal control procedures, identifying opportunities to enhance process and controls across all business areas
- Assist in developing and maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; ensure team members are adhering to such policies and procedures
- Assist with the manufacture accounting function, including review of contracts, preparation and booking of manufacturing/tax accrual reconciliation and journal entries, and preparation of manufacturing spending reports
- Work closely with other department leads to ensure that purchase orders are maintained/updated to reflect recent change orders, account, and project coding
- Assist in payroll-related functions, including working cross-functionally with People Operations to ensure timely payroll transactions
- Assist in managing the accounting function, including review of CRO reports, preparation and booking of accrual reconciliation and journal entries, and preparation of spending reports
- Support the requirements of the annual audit and quarterly reviews through preparation of audit schedules and other support requested by the external auditors
- Support the requirements of management's testing of internal controls through gathering support requested by audit consultants and reviewing any relevant internal control narratives
- Reviewed contractual terms to record liabilities when deliverables were met
- BS or BA in Accounting or related field
- Self-motivation, maturity, and versatility
- 5 or more years progressive experience required
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel and Word skills
- Strong working knowledge of system processes, internal controls, GAAP and SOX regulations
- CPA Preferred
- Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual target bonus and equity
- The base salary range for this role is $XXX-XXX. Starting pay is determined by multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience level, benchmark, and internal parity
