Your role at Sephora :
Reporting to the Manager , Inbound Operations, the Transportation Specialist, Domestic Inbound, is responsible for routing all domestic inbound pick up requests. Incumbent will work closely with Vendors and Carriers to improve processes, reduce costs, increase service offerings and improve service. This position is an integral part of supporting domestic inbound shipments for timely delivery into Sephora’s distribution centers.
- Organizes shipments and plans loads for inbound operation to Sephora DC’s.
- Serves as communication point with domestic vendors
- Assists with carrier selection and rates for daily shipping
- Coordinates truck for pick-up with our selected carrier network.
- Partners with vendors and buyers to support inbound business requirements.
- Process carrier freight claims from research and settlement.
- Ensures shipment tracking & tracing and other inquiries including rate quotes and special requests
- Effectively works with carriers and potential carriers with regard to performance and rates
- Ensure compliance with safety and government DOT / FAA regulations and HAZMAT requirements
- Manages all activities associated with domestic transportation services including, RFP activity, carrier selection, rate negotiations, cost controls, and management reporting.
- Work closely with internal customers to develop and maintain goals and process that support overall goals of Sephora
