Salary Range: $70,668.00-$88,348.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing digital content across various platforms to engage and inform SEPTA’s audience. This role will require a background in writing and/or journalism to join our Communications team.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation: Write compelling and engaging content for our website, blog, social media channels, internal newsletters, and other digital platforms. Content may include articles, blog posts, social media updates, campaigns, and more.
- Content Editing: Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. This includes checking for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency in style and tone. Maintaining brand integrity and enhance brand recognition.
- Content Strategy: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute content strategies that align with business objectives and target audience interests. This may involve conducting research, analyzing data, and staying updated on transportation trends.
- Social Media Management: Manage executive leadership social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and identify areas for improvement.
- Audience Engagement: Engage with our internal audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster a sense of community and build relationships with employees.
- Content Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics executive leadership social media accounts using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, Microsoft Viva engage, and email marketing platforms. Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions to optimize future content strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years’ experience in writing and/or journalism.
- In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of experience in Insurance and Financial Services Industry or related field and education (i.e., two (2) years of related experience, equating to one (1) year of formal post-high school education) may be considered.
- Proven experience in digital content creation, preferably in a similar role, required.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to brand voice, required.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices, required.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools, required.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content, required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights, required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field preferred.
