What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Manager position at Serenity Healthcare?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily maintenance and operations of our facilities. This individual will ensure our building is well-maintained, efficient, and compliant with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Permits & Inspections: Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and that systems such as elevators, sprinklers, and fire systems are up to code and inspected regularly.
- Building Structure & Issues: Address any building structure, interior, and exterior issues promptly and effectively.
- Mice Proofing: Ensure the building is properly sealed and protected from pests and rodents.
- Extermination: Coordinate and manage pest control services to maintain a pest-free environment.
- Snow Removal: Oversee snow removal and related scheduling to maintain safe premises during winter months.
- AC & Heating Systems: Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, change filters as needed, and ensure operational efficiency by regularly turning the systems on.
- Landscaping: Handle landscaping tasks personally and ensure the exterior is maintained year-round.
- Toilets, Lights, Steam Systems: Ensure all plumbing, lighting, and steam systems are in proper working order.
- Cleaning Crew Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the cleaning crew to ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the building.
- Cafeteria Restocking: Ensure the cafeteria is stocked with necessary supplies, including milk, water, tissues, and other essentials.
- Roofing & Structural Maintenance: Oversee the care and maintenance of the building’s roof and any structural issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Landscaping: Ability to handle landscaping tasks independently.
- Electrician Skills: Experience with high and low voltage electrical work, including the installation of plugs, thermostats, and other electrical components.
- Painting & Carpentry: Proficiency in painting and carpentry work for repairs and upgrades.
- Proactive & Organized: Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
- Reliability: Must be dependable and trustworthy in managing all maintenance operations.
- Multitasker: Able to oversee and manage multiple areas of maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Must be available to take after hours calls to the property. Will be compensated for any and all after hours or off hour services.
