Job Description :
The IT Project Manager oversees the implementation and integration of thirdparty applications as part of Epic EHR Program. The project manager will be responsible for managing multiple Health Information Technology (HIT) projects from multiple IT technology disciplines (i.e. hardware software applications development network infrastructure etc.) and assist with business process reengineering efforts with healthcare administrators clinicians and allied health professionals.
Will be accountable for developing managing and monitoring project schedules assigned and as it relates to the overall EHR Program Master Schedule. The project manager is responsible for providing additional coordination and communication for their team and reports to the EHR PMO Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the EHR Program Director EHR PMO Director Application Manager and other project managers to coordinate project activities.
- Ensure coordination and communication between client and the Office of the client nterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
- Experience with Health Information Technology (HIT) projects with an emphasis on clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability.
- Must have experience working with Epic EHR System and integrating ThirdParty Clinical Applications into the Epic EHR System such as :
- Computrition (Dietary System)
- Konica Minolta (Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- MiPACS (Dental PACS System).
- Assist the EHR PMO Director and Application Manager with the development of business cases for approval by the Information Technology Board and Governance (ITGB).
- Knowledge of PMI standards for project management is required experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies preferred.
- Develop and maintain project plans according to State and client IT Project Management Methodology; must be familiar with Microsoft Project and MS SharePoint
- Maintain the scope schedule and quality of the project in their specific application areas.
- Must have Indepth knowledge of IT project management IT project budgeting costing QA methodologies processes and standards.
- Familiarly with IT procurements and vendor / contract management ensuring contract deliverables are met.
- Advise and coach team members by providing guidance on project issues criticalkey success factors of the project and lessons learned.
- Set clear expectations for team members with proven ability to provide regular day to day planning and organizing the work of others.
- Identify and manage issues and risks assuring appropriate resolution / escalation and mitigation strategies are documented and status tracked.
