Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. This entry-level role drives customer engagement and communication, manages bookings, and maintains high-quality standards throughout the customer journey. You will work closely with the Business Development Team and Pricing Analyst to ensure the successful execution of logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forward Quotes: Send quotes to customers promptly upon receiving new leads.
- Booking and Confirmation: Confirm quotes with customers and ensure accurate booking of shipments.
- Client Engagement: Handle direct outreach to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct QA/QC checks before finalizing bookings to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Pull Quotes: Occasionally pull quotes in collaboration with the Pricing Analyst.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the Business Development Team and Pricing Analyst throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Timely Responses: Maintain quick and professional communication with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Logistics Background: An understanding of the industry is a plus, though not required.
- Sales Experience: Previous sales experience is a plus, though not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable talking on the phone to resolve issues as needed with external customers.
Work Environment:
This is an in-office role at our South Asheville, NC (in Biltmore Park) office.
- Job Type: Full-time
- Base Pay: $18-26 for the first 1-2 months, then increase based on fit.
- Commissions: Un-capped (in addition to the base pay)
- Expected Hours: 40 hrs/week
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- In-office role: Hybrid is considered for highly qualified candidates only.
