Job Title : Fleet / Warehouse Coordinator
Job Summary :
The Fleet / Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing both fleet and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role involves managing vehicle scheduling and maintenance, monitoring warehouse inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring safety and compliance across both areas.
Key Responsibilities :
Fleet Management :
Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and repairs of company vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
Track fuel usage, mileage, and overall fleet expenses to optimize costs.
Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
Assign vehicles to drivers, manage schedules, and monitor driver compliance with company policies.
Use GPS tracking and fleet management software to monitor vehicle locations and driver performance.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and insurance policies.
Coordinate with vendors for leasing, repairs, and insurance claims.
Warehouse Management :
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct routine stock checks.
Oversee shipping, receiving, and storage of materials to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Implement best practices for warehouse organization and space utilization.
Coordinate order fulfillment, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Ensure proper handling of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanning devices.
Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Document and report warehouse activities, including damages, shortages, and process improvements.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations.
General Responsibilities :
Maintain effective communication between fleet and warehouse teams to streamline operations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Generate reports on fleet performance, warehouse inventory, and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred).
2 years of experience in fleet management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in fleet management and warehouse inventory software.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
Work Environment :
This role involves both office work and hands-on responsibilities in warehouse and fleet areas. It may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and working in various weather conditions.
