Key Responsibilities
- Material Procurement & Inventory Management:
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies based on project needs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner to avoid delays.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed, ensuring the project never runs out of critical items.
- Logistics Coordination & Scheduling:
- Manage the logistics of receiving, storing, and delivering materials and equipment to the job site.
- Work with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule timely deliveries and reduce lead times.
- Develop and maintain schedules for material shipments, deliveries, and site staging.
- On-Site Material Management:
- Supervise material handling on-site, ensuring materials are properly stored, organized, and protected from damage.
- Organize the transportation and delivery of materials to various areas of the project site based on demand.
- Ensure proper labeling and tracking of materials for easy access and accountability.
- Collaboration with Project Teams:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to assess material needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Address material-related issues, such as shortages or delays, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding material status and any logistical challenges.
- Compliance & Safety:

- Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards on-site, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Track and report on material usage, inventory levels, and deliveries to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain documentation for materials purchased, delivered, and used on the project, ensuring accurate records are kept for audits and future reference.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in material logistics coordination or supply chain management, preferably in construction or large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with inventory management, procurement processes, and construction materials is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of material handling, inventory systems, and logistics software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
