Services for the UnderServed (S:US) is a New York City-based health and human services organization. It is one of the city’s largest nonprofit developers and providers of housing and support services for 37,000 of the most vulnerable individuals and families living in New York City and on Long Island.
We are currrently seeking an Associate Properties Manager.
Responsiblities
- Maintain the accuracy of rent rolls & lease expiration schedules
- Maintain and update copies of leases & related documents
- Process vendor invoices & check requests
- Assist Property Manager with reports for executives
- Serve as liaison between S:US program staff and private landlords to ensure maintenance is completed timely on all scatter site apartments and other leased sites
- Enter new leases and renewals into Docuware
- Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity
- Assist Director of Real Estate with proper tracking and documentation on DD renovation and purchase projects; including budgets, schedules, invoices and change orders
- Assist in renovation projects by providing consistent and timely communications among with architect, contractors and any other parties for job completion
- Organize, file and maintain all current DD project documents
- Maintain and spearhead Yearly Property registration with HPD
- Schedule/coordinate apartment moves/cleaning
Specific Yardi related responsibilities
- Upload all newly acquired properties, scatter site apartments and commercial leases into Yardi
- Help ensure scatter sites apartments are correct and rectify any errors in Yardi
- Coordinate the flow of information between A/R, Property Manger & Program Directors with respect to legal issues and scatter site apartments
- Support daily Yardi users to enable efficient work flow, data quality, reducing system and team downtime
- Keeps current on Yardi updates and system changes to ensure software is understood; attend conferences/trainings
- Assist with system upgrades, implementations and maintenance when required
- Assist with system setup and terminations when properties are bought or sold
- Ensures that Yardi department personnel inputs are correct and assist in fixing the errors if necessary
- Review operations reports and provide explanation narratives
- Identify Yardi module that support the organization growth
- Manage structured and accessible storage for documentations for Yardi usage and functionality
- Serves as an operation level Yardi administrator for all Yardi platforms
- Manage Yardi user account management process
- Monitoring and responding to system alerts
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years experience in real estate, landlord tenant legal affairs, and/or LIHTC and subsidized housing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of LIHTC, subsidized housing, and NYC rent stabilization laws governing landlord tenant rights required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Yardi preferred.
