Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and compliant employment records (e.g., W-4, I-9, Direct Deposit, etc.), ensuring adherence to legal standards and company policies.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment and providing guidance on workplace conduct, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including posting job openings, attending career fairs, interviewing candidates, and managing onboarding. Provide support in new hire training and continuous employee development.
- Coordinate employee performance reviews, including 30-60-90 day check-ins and annual evaluations, and assist with setting goals for continuous improvement and growth.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, including timesheet management, direct deposits, wage garnishments, and vendor invoicing, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Oversee workplace safety, handling incidents and ensuring safety protocols and regulatory requirements are met. Actively oversee the company’s safety committee.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure consistent enforcement of company policies, including the employee handbook, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Manage fleet vehicle maintenance, including inspections, registrations, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of overall business experience as an HR Generalist .
- Experience leading effective performance management systems and practices .
- Demonstrated strength in effective recruitment, communication, and collaboration .
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment .
- Ability to maintain professional composure in difficult situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and leadership team.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and ability to learn new software.
- Ability to work around cleaning agents and tools.
